Soil Fertilisers - Food For Plants & Trees

Soil fertilisers form the backbone of any system of agricultural production, where nutrients are taken out and used elsewhere: over time, serious depletion of nutrients can occur in soils that are subjected to agricultural labour if these nutrients are not replenished. The traditional solution to this problem has been to bombard the soil with a very basic combination of inorganic chemicals that are considered important for plants fertilizer, with a heavy focus on macronutrients. Our organic soil fertilisers present a different approach to this standard model.

Even the most efficient, self-sufficient systems of both ornamental and agricultural landscaping will need some measure of fertilisation from time to time, as nutrients escape in one way or another. From the vegetable garden they escape in the sewer system, from the farm they escape in trucks loaded with produce to be sold at the market, and even from the modest grass front lawn they escape in the form of grass clippings and water runoff, as the rain washes away some portion of them each time it falls. This is simply the nature of any system within a system: the lawn, the vegetable garden and the farm are still part of a wider, changing ecosystem, and they change with it.

But all of this doesn’t have to mean soils must be impoverished over time, or that they cannot even increase their fertility. The task of the landowner (or land-user) is precisely to find ways to counteract the natural movement of nutrients to the outside by introducing both raw nutrients in ways that are directly usable by food for plants, and by increasing as much as possible the complexity of the ecosystem that he has under his responsibility, so that every unwanted natural process is mitigated by a myriad of beneficial natural processes. And his unyielding attempts to meld his goals with the natural action of the elements, he will find an excellent ally in the fertilizers that help him implement, at once, both of the ways in which he fights against the general tendency of his lands to become impoverished.

Created around an understanding of soil fertility as the product of proper soil stewardship; of managing the soil well as a system of integrated variables rather than a static resource, our all-purpose plant food provides a wide array of both macro and micronutrients to ensure that there’s no lack of resources for a strong and steady plant growth. Our liquid plant fertiliser serves to provide an immediate boost to growth at all stages in which it is applied, from the first leaves to flowering and fruiting, with an emphasis in providing as well a host of beneficial bacteria and mycorrhizal fungi. It is, by all means, an all-purpose plant food that works beautifully for growing all sorts of edible annuals and perennials. It is also probably the best organic lawn food in the market, as the microbiological effects of its bacteria and fungi can become more pronounced in soils that are not disturbed frequently (as it often happens in agricultural landscapes, even organic ones), but that are kept instead completely covered by root systems year-round
